DUTY TOWER CONTROLLER RESPONSIBILITIES:-
1. The Tower Controller is responsible for the provision of air traffic services to traffic joining, leaving and within Amman CTR in accordance with MATC 1& 2
2. Tower controller shall issue information and clearances to aircraft under his control to achieve a safe, orderly and expeditious flow of air traffic on and in the vicinity of the aerodrome with the object of preventing collision(s) between:
A) Aircraft flying within the designated area of responsibility of the control tower, including the aerodrome traffic circuits;
B) Aircraft operating on the maneuvering area;
C) Aircraft landing and taking-off;
D) Aircraft and vehicles operating on the maneuvering area;
E) Aircraft on the maneuvering area and obstructions on that area.
3. Aerodrome controller shall maintain a continuous watch on all flight operations on and in the vicinity of the aerodrome as well as vehicles and personnel on the maneuvering area watch shall be maintained by visual observation.
